About Me

An IIT Kharagpur graduate with specialisation in EE-CS, I’m driven by a passion for 3D Computer Vision, Geospatial Surveying, SLAM, and multi-agent coordination for UGVs and UAVs.

At Preimage (October 2022 – October 2023), I pioneered a groundbreaking cloud-based geospatial mapping solution, combining multi-node parallel Structure from Motion with VoxelFusion. Our city-scale mapping pipeline achieves unparalleled speed, mapping a city from aerial photogrammetry in just 2 hours with sub-5cm accuracy, surpassing competitors like Agility Metashape Pro and Pix4D.

During my tenure at Intel Research (November 2020 – September 2022), I contributed significantly to Open3D, the fastest-growing 3D data processing library on GitHub. As a Research Scientist, my GPU-based parallel 3D algorithms pushed the boundaries of accuracy and speed. Recognized in the all time top-10 contributors with over 100 commits and million code-line changes.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, I co-founded Yantrakaar Technologies, where we developed a Hybrid Cloud Computing and AI-based Social Distancing Surveillance System, under guidance of Prof. Aditya Bandopadyay. We also played a pivotal role in designing Low Cost Ventilators to support national healthcare.

During my five-year journey at IIT Kharagpur (July 2017 – June 2022), I embarked on various robotics projects, including autonomous drones and self-driving cars. As the leader of the Autonomous Ground Vehicle Research Group under Prof. Debashish Chakravarty, I spearheaded visual perception and SLAM efforts, crafting a real-time localization and navigation pipeline for GPS-denied environments known as [LIME].

Inspired by the  DARPA Subterranean Challenge, I established the Advanced Coordination Robotics (ACR) research group under guidance of Prof. Aditya Bandopadyay, pioneering information gain-based multi-agent exploration. I also completed my research  internship at Robotics Research Center under the supervision of Prof. K. Madhava Krishna, on SLAM-based UAV Navigation.
