Project Duration : January 2019 – March 2019
About
ArMyo is a intelligent non-intrusive robotic exoskeleton system which can mimic human hand moments based on electrical activity produced by skeletal muscles i.e EMG.
It is capable of classifying different hand moments using Deep Convolutional Neural Networks for multi-channel time series data (EMG Signals), obtained by EMG sensors placed on different hand muscles of the body. The whole architecture run on a single Raspberry Pi and is capable of providing 9 DOF to hand.

Project Inspiration
Paralysis is the loss of muscle function in some part of the body. It happens when something goes wrong with the way messages pass between your brain and muscles.
ArMyo aims to tackle the paralysis of the hands and arms by utilizing the weak signals produced in the paralyzed arm muscles to control the arm and the hand without the involvement of other parts of the body.
